Cécile Dupas is a qualified chemical engineer and lawyer. She has been practising intellectual property law for almost 30 years. After working as a intellectual property for ten years, she became a lawyer in 1989. She has extensive experience in litigation and assists clients, mainly companies, in defining strategies to defend and use their intellectual assets.

She works both with companies’ intellectual property departments and Pattent Attorney advisors. Her initial training as an engineer explains her expertise relating to patents, irrespective of the technique in question. She also deals with issues regarding designs, trademarks and protection of new technologies from a litigation and contractual standpoint.

She aims to gather an overall perspective, which by combining her knowledge as a lawyer and as an engineer along with her pragmatic approach, enables a better grasp of situations.

Cécile Dupas is a member of leading associations in her area of expertise: AIPPI (International intellectual property Protection Association), LES (Licensing Executives Society), ACPI (intellectual property Advisors Association) and AAPI (intellectual property Lawyers Association).

She also acts as an arbitrator for the Arbitration Council formed by ACPI (intellectual property Advisors Association) and the Paris Chamber of Arbitration.
